Halsall Mechanical Sainbury's Irvine AC Project

Halsall Mechanical has a successful history of delivering electrical and mechanical projects to major blue chip clients. Halsall undertakes works within the domestic, commercial, retail, leisure and industrial sectors incorporating both HV and LV electrical installations. They employ over 400 people and have successfully undertaken and completed major projects throughout the UK.

With this project GalxC were tasked to:

• Provide a competitive quote to deliver a detailed design lay out by the Halsall Mechanical team
• Issue a series of health and safety documents to create a safe working environment
• Work with a Halsall Mechanical Project Manager to install a system to meet the highest standards
• Work around any store plan changes or general project issues
• Work to a firm hand over date
• Commission the system presenting a series of commissioning and f-gas documents ready for hand over.

To achieve the required outcomes GalxC worked closely with Halsall Mechanical’s Project Manager to insure that all the first fix works were completed within a two week period. During the third week some minor alterations were made to accommodate a new location for the Cash Office Condensing Unit but owing to our ability to work to firm hand over dates we were still able to complete our work ahead of schedule.

The commissioning of the system was carried out and completed in line with the projects program and the projects installation works were actually complete ahead of schedule. As GalxC are used to hand overs and working with the necessary documentation we were able to ensure that all the documentation was completed and issued to the Project Manager within the relevant time frame, which allowed for a smooth hand over of the entire project.

This project began on 3rd October 2011 and went live on 23rd November 2011.
